Mini ninjas: the avalanche...

8 replies 415 views Edited Sep 21, 2009

I would be much obliged to anyone who could help me with this part. I'm a little frustrated because no matter what I try, I get overtaken by the avalanche and I can't seem to find the right path to take to get away from it! Are you supposed to take one specific path, because I keep finding my way into a ravine I can't avoid but there's no way out of it.

Thanks in advance.

Isn't it annoying?   I hated that level!

OK, you should jump off the ski-jump and land on top of the hillside directly in front of you.  If you crash into the side or land on the ground, forget it---you're toast.

Then from there, head to the right.  You'll see a crevasse that has a left-right fork.  You want to go into the crevasse and head right.  Be careful because it's hard to see where you're going ("should I head to the white area or the whiter area?")

Then head straight and to the left and you'll come out into a clearing.

IIRC, you head to the right, trying to avoid the trees and then leftish (sorry it's a little vague---I've tried to wipe this level from my memory)

Then into another crevasse?  Again, stay to the right.

Thanks for the reply. I'll have to give it a try tomorrow, when I have a cooler head!

I can't believe how much this level affected my appreciation of the game, and my enjoyment of it. I don't even understand why this level is in the game...

I could not agree more.  I hate to think of parents who bought this for children only to have their kids throw the controller at the TV in frustration...

Had exactly the same problem and your post let me help "the children" before the controller was thrown at the screen.

If anything, this level's redeeming quality is the lesson:

     "you CAN'T outrun an avalanche!!"

Thanks for the post!

You... I could hug you so much. I watched the only YouTube video I could find as a guide and that was **bleep**. I spent half an hour trying their attempt and getting close to chucking my controller. I proceeded to try to find another guide, read this, and it worked on the very first try. Thank you so **bleep** much.
