Okay, I was playing BF3 like usual and after 5 minutes joining a server I get kicked out of the game not because the admin kicked or banned me but because of my connection to EA keeps getting lost. I checked all my connections and they are all working fine, in fact I am the only one using the internet. Does anyone know a link to EA or Origin where I can complain about that because it has happen WAY too often now.
At first I just ignored it but now it is really getting on my nerves. I can't even play or finish a match with my friends anymore. Thanks!

I have lost connection on Origin before, but never through the PlayStation. This is the first I ever heard of it. Honestly, I do not know where you would file the complaint.
Did you try technical support on the Origin Website? You can start there, or check with Sony's Tech Support, and see if they know of any issues.

EA has horrible and always on-the-verge of overloaded servers. THe bigger the game, the more the frequent problems.
Origin is irrelevant. Sometimes all you need is a router/modem reset because they do get bottlenecked from time to time.
I'd also make sure that you have, under your server options, only the correct regions selected for best resutls.
Meaning, don't have boxed checked to connect to foreign countries if you're in another. You will get disonnected without a
doubt.

Agree with above^. Also try setting a static route for your PS3, Try opening ports or enable DMZ. For ports visit here.

Yes, all my server options are on the correct regions. I live in Texas so it's all South US, I used to have it on Asia because I play with my friends back home in Japan and I have good connection with them. I did not lag once and then I change it back to South US whenever I play here locally. But thanks for the info though! ![]()

The problem with South US servers is they get "clogged" or bogged down by South American players. EA really screwed up by not setting up South American servers. Basically what happens is if there are @5 or more SA players on one particular server; it has to prioritize bandwidth to them, causing lag & connection drops. It has been an issue since release day that EA has really never addressed. There have been petitions to EA to open SA servers but it won't happen.

I have, at all times, East, West, and Southern server farms check marked. I live in Washington State. I do experience
some drops---but I've noticed, over 800HRs or so that it's only during really high traffic times. (weekends, holidays).
You should be fine with having all of the US servers marked.
I would highly recommend a router refresher to clear out any possible bottlenecking issues (which will happen over
time) by clearing the cache or having a fresh factory/firmware reboot, like every 4-6 months or so, or even sooner if you're
not the only one using your internet. Also making sure your router (or whatever you use) has the latest updates.
A quick SpeedTest usually gives an idea of what's going on with your ISP/router if you experience some lame issues
as you've first explained.

This has been happening to me a lot lately. So it's not just you. But ONLY lately. Other than the last few times I've played, i've lost my connection only a handful of times. It usually says I lost connection to the server, but a couple of times it said my connection to EA was lost. I noticed I was on a lot of Brazilian run servers, so that south american issue might have been my problem.

I've had a similar experience with BC2. I wasn't able to get online much because it was saying the connection was lost.
