I bought Buzz Quiz TV and a set of wired buzz buzzers from Ebay that were sold as new and look new. I can't get past the "no buzz buzzers detected" screen when they are plugged in. There are no switches on them or anywhere to put in batteries that I see. No lights ever come on the buzzers, if they are even supposed to. Are these supported by the game anymore or what is the problem?

Strange; The wired buzzers should work. I was going to ask if either your console, your copy of Buzz Quiz TV, or the wired buzzers were from another region, but I don't think that matters either. They should just work when you plug them in & use a buzzer compatible game.
Have you tried plugging it into a different USB port on your PS3? Otherwise, I'm not sure what the reason could be other than that the buzzers could very well be busted.
