I have the exact same problem.
# Ive opened ports
# Ive given ps3 a static IP and put it into router DMZ setting
# Ive disabled media server
# Ive disabled/enabled upnp
# Ive tried my mate's internet
Nothing works. Still the same **bleep** error code.
Cant play online. Really thinking of moving to XBOX.
My Games will not update also. I think its BS that its congestion. It does not matter if its 2 in the morning or 2 in the afternoon. This is complete crap!! I new I should have bought an Xbox. To add insult to injury psn prob does not give a crap about our prob with the ps4 right around the corner. $500 in games that I can't play and playstation + membership that is just a waste of $$ if I can't update and play them.
If its congestion then Y N the heck did it just start a week or two ago????? B...S...!!! Fix the prob or start sending everyone $50 psn cards!! I want reimbursed for all this crap!! What a JOKE!!
Hey guys I've been having the same problems with updating to the 1.09 version of Battlefield 3. All day I've been trying to do the update but the server would always time out. I tried unplugging the modem and router, resetting the modem and router, turning off the media servers, changing the DNS,etc. I just decided to keep at it and (though I don't know how or why) after a day of failures it finally worked and the game updated. So if nothing else is working for you guys just be persistent and it might just work .
this sucks. Its apparent to me that sony dont care. And sadly some of you posters will probably buy another system. Mines less than 6mo's old. I cant play crap and have tried everything, even hardwiring. Im not even getting a timer anymore. It just gets to 14% and error code.
