I can relate to the PS4 defects listed in this forum. I tried rebuiliding database but that failed. Then followed advice of black duct tape placed over rubber lip on underside of PS4 eject button. I also turned it vertically. Running two days now without issue, so that did the trick. Still, why should I even have to resort to these methods? I'm still leaning toward swapping out the system. I'm convinced this is not a software issue.
It's probably a hardware issue, and it might as well be affecting thousands of ps4s, first batch or first generation of any new console face issues , First gen ps3s had flaws too.
I have suffer this issue two times. And yes, it's a hardware issue.
To fix this (some walkaround), just simply remove your power cord from PS4 then press power button for several times (you will hear the beep alarm, oh, the fxxk beep) and problem resolved.
Hello. I hav a problem with my PS4 it rejects the discs and then dosont let me put them bak in.
It constantly dos the sound off rejecting.
Is ther eny thing i can do to sort it out or do i hav to teik it bak to the shop ???
I've had my PlayStation 4 since December and this just started happening a week ago and it's seriously getting on my nerves, how is the eject button going to keep automatically trying to eject the disc and turn the PS4 on, when it's Powered-Off? Plus, why in the world would it be fine for like 30 minutes and then eject when I'm destroying someone in Madden 25 Online? SONY, you need to fix this issue or you'll have a lot of ANGRY customers asking for refunds if it's a hardware issue.
