Wow I can't believe after reading some of the content on here I decided to try and woolaa it actually worked! Kudos to alot of you guys...I already had packed and ready to ship it back to Amazon...
After a few hour troubleshooting last night I decided to pack it up...I couldn't load a disc..it just made that grinding sound like most of you said where it would accept a disc...well this morning I put it upside, power it back up, booted into safe mode, reloaded the firmware, reboot again and that made it worked!
I just finished 2 games of Madden and its working like it suppose too...!
None. I just opened up the ps4, ran the updates, and proceeded to insert a disk. When eject is pressed, it beeps at me but does not open the tray.
Were you installing any game data at the time?
No. Just ran the system update process.
Did you see any game or system notifications beforehand (Ready to install notifications, error messages, etc.)?
What troubleshooting steps did you attempt?
Unplugged for thirty minutes and switched the sitting position of the unit itself. No luck
My drive continuously tries to eject with every disc game.
I solved it by powering down, standing the system vertically, powering it up, and putting a disc in. If I try to lay the system back down it has trouble.
However, it was working fine the first night. I'm hoping this is just a bug that came with the latest firmware mini update?
That we don't know how to deal with a situation doesn't make it overpowered, it makes us unprepared.
