Hey guys just asking, wouldn't anyone want like advanced blueprints or prototype blueprints of any kind? Just to prevent the hassle of restocking the things you have =\ cuz I would want that. Anyone agree or disagree? I'll understand.
I wouldn't mind blue prints for advanced or proto gear to save on some isk when I die. I think CCP avoided it because they don't want people to buy advanced/proto gear for aur one time, they want you to buy the non-bpo AUR items if you are getting anything more than "Militia/Basic level" gear.

When I kill that Protobear, I want him to pay for that suit, its half the satisfaction of the game knowing you cost some Protobear his +100k ISK suit.
It would also be Pay2Win.

We as a species (species of 'console gamers' ???) DON'T like having to pay MORE after we've paid to access a game, or after we've paid to access something IN our game. So, yeah the BPOs were very attractive.
But we have to face it: Dust is a child of EVE. And EVE's gaming component is "RISK". Players must risk losing what they have or what they value in an attempt to slowly climb that ladder.
EVE players risk tons of ISK every time they just take a wee-wee in some mining sector of space.
It irritates me but I guess it's fair that, every time we drop from the MCC into the burnzone, we risk the jewelry on our wrists and literally the HP shirt off our backs!!
...I think I did read someplace that EVE ship players can purchase "insurance" against the possible loss of their ship, and maybe even insurance for their clone because when the clone gets killed in EVE, you lose the SKILL POINTS you accumulated in the clone's neural brain. If that's true, that's gotta *bleepin" hurt!!!
So I think BPOs kinda counteract RISK, and thus shouldn't really be allowed in the game much.

Armyluke said it best, it's great watching protos drop, just like I'm sure that people love downing my tank knowing I lost a ton of isk
Umm, yeah, but....
Waablammmo, I'd love to tell those people that they are living a cliche fantasy.
I've never tried an HAV so I'm not sure how much one of your tanks costs...
But even with my top-line fittings and mods, my logi or assault Dropships will cost about 500,000 ISK an assembly. Just running around in a tin-foil dropsuit with a militia gun in my hand, I can make back 500,000 in just three Battle Academy practice games (barely 40 minutes of my labor).
Just like I no longer think about using Aurum to get some BPO's, I no longer fear the risk of ISK loss as much as I used to. ....Once you've become financially seasoned to Dust, losing a prized vehicle just ain't painful no more.
The feeling that they've accomplished something just by downing a Waablammmo vehicle that THEY couldn't afford to purchase, is meaningless if waablammmo's earning enough to afford three more replacements in less than an hour.
Those folks are better off finding the satisfaction of helping their team mates defend a null cannon, instead of loitering around trying to put a dent in a vehicle driver's wallet

Holy Shmokes, waablammmo!
800,000 was near the number I expected to hear (that's why if I see a tank, I like to hop on and use his secondary turrets to protect his rear from swarmer pests). But over a mill is steep...
Are there any BPO modules available for your HAV? Knowing CCP, probably not...

It's funny. When I first tasted Dust 514, I was drooling to get BPOs of my choice gun, my choice biotic modules, my choice profile dampeners,... then my choice Dropship turret gun,...
...and then I turned and saw the huge ISK that was piling up beside my armchair. .... If I buy with Aurum, I need to use my credit card to get more aurum...and if I buy with ISK, I only need to butcher more red dots to get more ISK. hmmm....
Face it, we vehicle drivers don't NEED the BPOs... If we've advanced enough players to be able to afford the HAVs, DSs, etc that we're calling onto the battlefield,... then that alone says we're ISK big-swingers.
The aurum Sony sells us to pay for BPOs is like paying for something with a check.
Us drivers are wealthy enough to pay for our fight with CASH!
BPOs? Bleh. Just let me know when you're driving a tank into the fight, Waablammmo. I'll climb aboard and cover you with the top gun, and we'll make it through---we don't need no BPOs!!
