Since few of the other forum mercs visit this thread site, I feel comfortable about notifying you of the OTHER suprise brought to us in PUrising 1.7:

Railgun technology of ALL types has been upgraded.  Think of it as the next generation performance technology advancement brought to you by the Caldari.

The previous LARGE railgun installatiion used to fire an automatic volley of 5 blasts, and then stop to cooldown.

The 1.7 advanced large railgun installation fires and automatic volley of 6 blasts, in the same time it used to take it to shoot 5 blasts, before cooldown occurs.

The previous SMALL railgun turret was an agravation.  Powerful destruction in a singel round, but you had to put the shot directely on the enemy merc's chest, or the shot just whizzed by and did nothing.  The second shot was so long afterward, that the enemy had time to stand up and kill you (price you pay for missing with the first shot).

The 1.7 small railgun turret has a jaw-dropping rate of fire---it TEARS up the ground and wall around the enemy merc, so that he HAS to be afraid and grab some cover.  The moment he comes out, or runs to change cover, you spray him with a dozen rounds---ONLY ONE of those rounds is needed to touch him, and kill him.

New and Improved!!

Sad goodbyes and a Universe of good wishes to the 49, especially to CCP Eterne...
Because no story or character (not even an Eve character) can have a life without writers and publishers.

I'll miss your contributuions, Eterne.
