Players per game?

do you think the numbers of player per game will stay at 20 or will it increase? someone was saying that the player count would increase and i was wandering if that was true. would be awsome if they could get some MAG numbers in this game.

At fanfest, the devs said they have already tested it at 64 vs 64.  They're probably just waiting on some testing to make sure their servers can handle it and for enough players to easily support larger matches.

During one of the round tables at Fanfest the devs said that in 0.0 space contested planets they are looking to have no limits to sides like in EVE

Its undecided... Ive hrd rumors of 254... Mag size and even larger as 514. But

  then I watched a dev intrview an the dude said 514 was a call sign too...

   I dnno.. blow up the entire planet or somethin.. either way

  its undecided... othr videos has said the PS3 is more thn

capable to sync people on PC and PS3 in a vary gross number..

I mean look at  PlayStation Home... They do not even tell how many ppl can log into it at once.

24 vs 24 I think is the max ... I don't think it was runing on PS3, just a game engine test on a server level I think, but yeah, 64v64 and 128v128 were tested ... I doubt we shall see anything that high on this gen but who knows

The test were just to see how scalable the engine was for future updates. It's easier to make a game with the goal of 256 players and not complete it then a 16v16 game and try and update the player count later on ... at least on a console anyways ... PC, much easier as there's usualy more then enough ram to handle any increase needed.
