This is in relation to the Thieves' Guild character Brynjolf. Well here it goes: I'm Norwegian in real life (American born, 4th generation) and i've been tracing my family's history on Ancestry.com. I found out that i'm related to a man named Brynjulf Jonson and he was born in 1220 in Kvale, Telemark, Norway. How much of an interesting coincidence is that!
Maybe i'm the Dragonborn, and I just don't know it yet...

It seems that in a fantasy series like the Elder Scrolls, which takes place even on a fictional planet (judging by the number of moons), should promote realism by avoiding obvious allusions to Earth cultures. However, there are obvious references in many places, including the use of real names for characters.
