If you’ve been looking forward to The Elder Scrolls Online ever since it was first announced by Bethesda earlier this year but don’t have a gaming PC to run it, there is still hope, as developer Zenimax Online hasn’t ruled out a console version.
Speaking to GamesIndustry, studio head Matt Firor explained that they haven’t moved forward on a console version for the time being because the next generation of consoles is fast approaching. Only when the time is right will they look into doing something beyond the PC version.
There are a lot of rumors swirling around the next-gen coming back together with PCs. It seems like things are going back to a more standard platform. That being said, we haven’t thought about it heavily right now. The worst thing you can do is worry about new platforms while in development.
We want to do what we’re doing right now and then look around for further opportunities. Certainly we’re open to new opportunities, and we’re going to be looking into new territories beyond North America and Europe.

A game as Big as this just wouldn't work on the PS3 unless it was severely dumbed down. In which case it would ruin the game in general.

The Elder Scrolls Online, is not coming to PS3. Zenimax may claim they haven't ruled out the possibility of bringing it to consoles, but it's not going to. If it does come out for a console it will only be on Zenimax/Bethesda's favored system, and their favored system is not the PS3.

True but with the Next Generation of systems vast approaching they would easily be able to handle a huge MMO game like this. Plus I hear the PS4 is going to be MUCH more Dev Friendly this time around. So the idea of seeing Elder Scrolls Online on the PS4 isn't too unlikely, For the PS3 tho very unlikely.

Well... console designers avoided putting sufficient RAM in consoles this gen like the freaking plague... as if it dipped too far into their crack budget. Hopefully they consider that fatal mistake next gen.. and put at least 8GB system RAM into the consoles... but my guess is they gonna put another overpowered CPU in it that only makes the system harder to script games for and claim that they couldn't put in any more RAM due to tryimg to keep manufacturing costs down. PUT THE FRIGGIN CRACK PIPE DOWN @#$%@#$!!! GAMES NEED RAM IDIOTS!!!

If it comes to PS-anything its gotta be 4. While its not true it would need to be "dumbed down" for ps3, it would be incredibly hard to code for..And the results would be pretty disappointing if skyrim is any example to look to. No...im hoping for a PS4 release if this comes to consoles.

Yeah the PS4 could deff handle Skyrim Online and they ported a big MMO like Diablo III to it so why not Skyrim Online.
