Escape Plan on PS Vita

2 replies 599 views Edited Feb 4, 2012

A Touching Adventure from the producers behind the award-winning PS3™ system PSN hit, Fat Princess, comes an original new experience -- Escape Plan™.

Escape Plan™ takes advantage of the PlayStation®Vita system's multi-touch display, rear touch panel, swipe interfaces and motion sensor, putting the fate of the hapless heroes in the palm of your hand. Players can swipe, squeeze, poke and slap Lil and Laarg to manipulate the characters and interact with the diverse environments. Only you can help them survive each deadly room before their captor and nemesis, Bakuki, recycles them and turns them into his minions... or sheep.

  • Guide Lil and Laarg to safety by using your influence, skill and brainpower to help them escape from a dark labyrinth of irreverent puzzles and traps.
  • Help these two hapless heroes by using the front touch pad, rear pad, motion sensor and more to find a plan of escape.
  • Breathe a sigh of relief as they scrape through to freedom...and giggle if they come to a deliciously messy end. Luckily, helping Lil and Laarg is as fun to play and watch in victory as it is in the hilarious agony of defeat.

Presentation:

Delightfully destructive... From the very first level in Escape Plan's deadly maze of devious traps, it's hard not to be amazed at how visually stunning the game looks on the PS Vita system's screen. The original, black and white art style is darkly humorous, especially when one of the characters is hit by a falling object and is abruptly squashed into a pile of black gloop.

The characters themselves have so much personality, despite not being able to talk. Laarg seems vulnerable and a bit unsure of his surroundings, whereas Lil appears more serious and determined to reach his goal. Their unique personalities and amusing abilities will only increase your determination to help them dodge death.

Adding to the comedy aspect of the game is a classical soundtrack which, when coupled with an applauding crowd when Lil or Laarg falls short of reaching their goal, gives the game the feel of a classic silent film.

Packed with stunning visuals and dark humor, Escape Plan provides an original take on the side-scrolling puzzle genre. Be sure to pick up Escape Plan when PS Vita launches in February 2012.
