I read through some of the companion issues here so I should have no problems finding the idiot dog but the view glitch is causing me so much grief.
I can't play in first person at all. I get so ill I have to lay down because it makes me dizzy and nauseous.
I have tried switching controllers and rebooting the system but nothing has repaired this problem.
Does anyone have a remedy for that bug?
It if matters, I am at Level 25, I have no custom weapons or clothing (because I don't understand all that crap) and I am in normal mode.

Have you switched the controllers while playing. Like playing on the controller you normaly play on, turn on another, hit the PS Button on the second one and switch that to controller port 1.
I think that has happened to people in Both FO games and that I believe was the fix

Yeah, that little bugger loves to disappear.
I've found him just in Freeside, just outside the door to the Strip before, but there is suppose to be a great way to retrieve a lost companion. I've never tried it, but people say it works great.
Here's what you do:
- Go to Vault 22.
- Repair the Elevator
- Take the Elevator to the bottom floor (pest control)
The theory is that why you reach the bottom, your lost companion will appear. If he does, I strongly recommend you to dismiss him at this time. Then you can at least get in to see Caesar. ED-E will either go to your Suite at the Lucky 38 or back to Primm when dismissed.
The fact that this thread is so long ought to be an embarrassment to Bethesda, but more than likely they're not as embarrassed as they are amused that they can make so much money off of something so broken. Anyways I list some of the most annoying bugs I've faced (can't list them all, I'll be typing till next Tuesday). Plus a pic for your amusement.
1. Unable to get the "Courier who broke the bank" trophy even though I was ban from all three casinos. (This was probably related to the fact I pickpocket a key from the guy who runs Ultra-Luxe, it caused a whole slew of bugs for me, but this was the worse. I fixed it by reloading an old save and getting kicked out of all 3 casinos again.)
2. After I received the key to my suite in Ultra-Luxe I still can't go to my room as it appears red when I go to use my key and if I enter the hotel staff becomes hostile. (See above)
3. Radio music plays a echo when in the strip. (I can distinctly hear two radios playing the exact same music separated by about a half second from each other, this usually happens just before a freeze)
4. Important items stuck in the floor (I had a wasteland survival guide I couldn't pick up because it was stuck in the floor. I fixed it by fast traveling away and coming back, it was still stuck in the floor but I was able to get my crosshair on a corner of it that was barely poking out and take it.)
5. Companions who get stuck in places. ED-E is the worse.
6. The missing quest (Where is "For the Republic part 1"?)
7. Dropped items that disappear (I stole a guitar to place in my suite, it's in my inventory, I can store it or sell it but if I drop it, it vanishes from the universe forever.)
8. Certain Misc. items that cannot be stored unless stored from the main "Item" menu and not from the sub-menu named Misc.
9. Creatures who will not die. (Geckos seem to be the worse for this. In Vats they show no health but yet they continue to attack me.)
10. Broken quests. (They're too many to list here so go look them up on "The Vault" a very helpful Fallout wiki site.
