TTT2, KoFXIII, BBCP (when it comes out), P4A, VF5, SS (the good ol' 2D fighters, not the one they made this gen), and UMvC3 (maybe).

I suggest you pick up tekken tag tournament 2. The netplay is fantastic and its a very deep game. Also the cast is huge and every character is very unique.

Re: Which fighting games should I own?

Fighters with good online play.  In general or just for this system?   If the latter I'd say, in no particular order.

  • Soulcalibur 4 & 5. Their online is practically flawless.  Ranked matches are stricktly 1 vs 1, while unranked you can have up to 4 people in the room.  Lag is fairly negligible.
  • SSFIV AE
  • Skullgirls.  With this one ranked & unranked are strictly 1 vs 1 & as far as I know there's still no spectator mode,  it's also meant more for "hardcore" fighter players.  Consider yourself warned.
  • Tekken 06.  My first Tekken game & I had no complaints on the online the few times I did play it.
  • Blazblue &/or the Blazblue follow-ups.  Good online, but rarely touch it otherwise (I'm more a 3D fighter guy

I also have DoA5 for both systems.  While probably the most balanced of the DoAs, the online is randomly glitchy.  Should you get it? As a DoAer I'd say "yes". Should you rush to get it,  I'd say "no" at this point if you mainly play it online like I do.

In general:

  • Tatsunoko vs Capcom.  1 vs 1 only but the online is flawless,  I've never had so much as a skip when I did play it regularly. No spectator mode though.
