FF13-Do not overpower your character

If you want to get the most out of your game purchase.

Do not overpower your character.

Even later on when the Crystarium level 10 open up to you.

I recommend not go all the way up to Level 5 Role.

Keep yourself at Level 4 is good enough for 90% of the game.

What happen when you overpower your character, the game will start feel boring.

Because none of monster is any challenge at all.

Then, all you have left to play with is just the Adamantoise.

But, what fun is it if you kill them 10 times in a hr?

and have no other challenge to take on anymore.

I have more than 3300 Physical Strength, and that's too much power for even Adamantoise.

I recommend only keep your Physical Strength around 2700.

This way you can still enjoy the game with challenge and take on Adamantoise with some challenge.

Well, that's certainly one opinion.  There are, of course, other ways to play.
Personally, I like to overlevel.  To me, that is how to get the most out of my game purchase.

Re: FF13-Do not overpower your character

Well, I have yet to get that far. The only time I've ever 'over-leveled' was FFX... and that was b/c Jecht was a pain in the arse for me. Plus, I tend to play every FF completely UNDERLEVELED.

For instance, I beat both FFIX and FFXII with my main party at less than lvl 50. I believe in XII they were all lvl 45 and in FFIX they were all level 48.

Re: FF13-Do not overpower your character

Being overpowered is part of the fun to me. It feels nice to completely destroy bosses after you have spent hours upon hours of level grinding. I appreciate what you are trying to tell people but for me, I'm gonna level up my characters all the way.

Re: FF13-Do not overpower your character

Instead of using Fang, who has more than 3300 physical strength.

Now, I use Vanille who has around 2600.

For me, the game is more balanced with Vanille than using Fang.

Fang is too overpowered for any monster.

My Vanille can still take the Adamantoise down, but with effort.

Re: FF13-Do not overpower your character

Overpowering characters is a Final Fantasy staple.  I've done it on every FF and this one is no different.  Earlier I hit 999,999 damage on Adamantaimai which was awesome and I'm regularly getting 644,000-956,000.  Now the only thing I have left to do is to be able to hit 99,999/999,999 on Long Gui which I'm working on right now.

No offense, gamelord, but everyone plays a game for a different reason.
