hey i want to know what is my chance to become an staff member for sony or any of its first party studios. i live in argentina and im 20 years old . im about to star a carrer in programming , so i want to know what is my chance to get into sony , my goal is to become a game designer so i figured the best way was to start from a programming job . please if people can help me and even better if anybody at sony can give me a response or at least point me to the direction at where should i ask about this . thanks everyone

I'm going to be honest with you: getting into the gaming industry is very, very difficult! I'm not saying you can't do it, but it will be a tough road for you.

You will most likely NOT start at a programming position because studios look for experienced talent. However, you can always land a job as a QA tester or intern If you're looking for professionals to give you advice, go to IGDA.org - that's where a lot of them hang out. There's a guy named Tom Sloper who will give you a great description of what it takes and how to score an interview and possibly a job

thanks everyone im gonna try at the forum. the carrer tab just gave me an adress , and like im in argentina is kind of hard for me to get there but im gonna try anyways , about experience , im working at google now , hope that helps
