i need ram, does anybody know a good price on 1gb of DDR PC2700 Ram????

it can be online, at a store, anything but used.

These can be quite pricey since they are older technology and have become uncommon in the marketplace.  PC2700... your best bet is to find a friend or relative that has a PC they are getting rid of or aren't using and take that ram.  Whatever you do, I wouldn't buy from a retailer selling them.  Try to find something on Newegg or Amazon.  I wouldn't pay more than 30 dollars for 1GB stick.
