Spam grapple

8 replies 246 views Edited Jan 20, 2013

The grapple needs a cooldown, it doesn't need to be a long one just like 5-10 seconds.  So that you will have to think about when you use it, instead of just spamming it.

That for me would greatly improve multiplayer.

With all do respect, no. If an opponent is spamming R1, simply counter by parrying. The opponent will be stunned, and you can rinse and repeat if they don't get the message.

Realistically the only time the throw really ever works consistantly is if you are tossed into the air, so as long as you are avoiding being tossed you should be good.

Well spamming grapple is the worst thing you can do. There aren't very many moments when you can use it, as it will just leave you stunned. If someone is dodging, running or if you launch then, then its a perfect setup. Grapple spammers end up getting punished.

If you grapple and miss then you are vulnerable for awhile before you can attack, there's already reason not to spam grapple.

One would think GoW convention would make this all too obvious. False OS is rarely desirable.

We could use a roll button. Like right before hitting the ground hit some button to roll away.

Grease Monkey how do you parry a pop up attack. They smash the ground quick over and over.

those attacks are easy to avoid just dodge and counter them because when they  miss there is a few second window to attack them.
