Had this happen to me a few times today. During Ares Inferno, a trap went off and I was burned and lost control as if I'd been on the ground and standing in the fire. I don't know if it could happen with spike traps.
Ares inferno needs some work...you still move as if you were on the ground but you aren't... you should be able to move freely without having to wait when "climbing" objects.
I had the same issue and it messed up the control. I went the opposite direction of the direction I was pressing. It was like it was a stun-locked hop.
