Umm, I have lost all desire to play the game really. If I accidentally get to level 75 via playing with good friends I'll probably prestige again yeah just to say I did.
It wouldn't be wise to make traps not kill friendly's, you'd introduce another form of greifing and capping flags and area of the map would become harder as you could just stand in them and wait for an enemy to come and trigger it while you take no damage.

Can't remember what game it was, but I do recall a game that would lock out your shooting controls if you shot a friendly. Maybe something like that would discourage the effect.
Simplest way would be to deduct points from the player's team, though.
