The thing that is bad about this that I can see right off the bat is , it is still your team mate and them not gaining points during this time hinders you. Until they fix the host migration and not being able to join already started matches leaves you at a disadvantage if they get kicked for any reason. ( Although they kill you enough times accidental or not , that might not matter in the heat of the moment.)
Sometimes either the game or others lag so the trap setting since it takes a second or two sometimes maybe due to this or just as others have stated , learning the trap setting feature.
The idea of giving the power to kicking the player in the hands of the person being wrongly killed definitely has a nice ring to it and I'd definitely support that. But it would need to be at least 2 kills preferably 3 to forgive system glitches/lags and well if you step in the trap after an opponent on your own.
I see what you're saying, and I get why kicking/penalties can really harm the outcome of the current match.
Nontheless, I agree with you, Rachel.
I sorta wish there was a way to cancel your trap set-up; as I've messed up a few times. Is there? If there is, then I feel stupid. Thanks for the support on the suggestion though, I appreciate it.
I haven't found if there is a way to undo an already set trap either. ( One fully set by yourself) I think if it all works properly if you "set" one it should only go off by an opponent. If your teammates are in there as well , well they get it to but only the opponent is supposed to set them off.

@metlgearsolid200 You Are Your Own Solution ! .LOL
But I Also Feel That It Should Have A GoW 'Edge' To It !
Like Each Specific God Would 'Pull' His Align Warrior 'Out' In A Medium Fashion To Not Interrupt The Combat Entertainment !
Then At The End Of The Match He Is Sent On A 'Test' Elsewhere ! .LOL

I was just killed by two idiots on my own team by trap kills while I was bringing the enemy flag back to score us a point. They really need to do something to make it easier to see yourself in this game around other players and make it extremely obvious who is on your team.
Green and Red do not work when there are a lot of color-blind people or idiots in general.

@d1v4d Yeah Same Here .
I Think That There Is A Way To Undo It .
I Think That The R1 To Set The Lever Trap Needs To Be Held For 3 Complete Seconds .
If At Halfway You Don't Want To 'Set' It, Then You Have Almost No Time To Let Go .
So You Have To Let It Go At 1.5 Seconds For It To Not 'Set' Up .
I Just Think But Not 100% Sure .Lol

Hopefully there is a way. I feel bad when a teammate is fighting over a trap, and I'll hold it.. but since the enemy is there I panic and let go of the lever, causing my friendly to die. I feel like a d*** ![]()

@d1v4d Yeah, But Some Would Argue That If You Got The Enemy As Well With The Trap, Then It Wasn't A Problem .
I Wouldn't Mind Getting Caught In The Friendly Trap If The Enemy Died In The Trap Too .
Don't Feel
My Son You Will Master That Ability In The Next Few Months !

It amazes me how few people seem to know about this, but if you hold down R1 while setting a trap it'll become armed & display your faction's emblem (either Spartan or Trojan respectively). Meaning the next time that an enemy crosses over that trap, they will trigger it. I do this all the time before attempting to cap an altar, in order to buy myself some time (especially with no teammates around to assist). They really ought to include this tip in the tutorial. I see new players tap R1 on a trap all the time just to see what happens & go trigger happy; sadly, sometimes teammates get caught in it.
As for the topic at hand, I couldn't disagree more. If a teammate runs over my armed trap with an enemy hot on his/her heels & doesn't notice the emblem above said trap (IE it's about to go off) then they've made a grave error (lesson learned for next time); if not, then they'll continue to pay the piper until it hits home. One should always assume such environmental hazards are as advertised and be cautious around them.
Also, I don't usually gamble with a teammate's life, but with the match on the line it's sometimes it's unavoidable. And yes, there's usually a niche of time to avoid being caught in a trap if you're an observant player. Sometimes one is able to make it out in time, other times they take one for the team in keeping the enemy there long enough to get the job done & it's greatly appreciated. It's not like death is penalized so most players will get over it & move on.
Because at the end of the day, maximizing one's team score while minimizing the opponents' and helping the team achieve victory is the goal. K/D ratio should be the least of your worries in an objective-based multiplayer game mode; there's always FFA in Hercules' arena if that's your bag. No need to punish players for using a game mechanic as intended. Unintentional casualties can occur, but that's a part of the game. Do you also wish to do away with the ring out mechanic because it can sometimes feel unfair on the receiving end?
If anything, players should be rewarded bonus points for being clever with the traps & working as a team to lure opponents to their death without friendly casualty. Reward team & skillful play, don't deter players from experimenting for fear of being kicked over such a trivial thing as incidental friendly fire. For death is inconsequential with favor from the gods.
