There was actually a big story on them this week. Apparently the owner is the youngest female billionaire in the US. Everyone says going to one is like stepping back in time, everyone is nice, food is great, unchanged menu, etc... They reported that burger flippers make like 13.00 a hour and a store managers make over 100k a year, not bad for fast food. We don't have them here in Ohio, but we do have Skyline Chili, Frischs, and of course White Castle, couldn't live without those (maybe White Castle because they're super gassy).
is this the story you are talking about?

sorry to draw this further off topic but I saw the story a few days ago and just saw this thread now
Unfortunately we don't have In 'n Out Burgers around me either, but I have heard good things about them and wish I could try them out. The video does mention they have locations in 5 states.
We don't have any of the restaurants VanillaBeast mentioned either, sadly. Five Guys did open a few locations around here a few years ago though, and they are also very good.
