OMFG is all I can say about this video. I've been cackling, madly, with every comment I've read about how the SP will be given short-shrift because of the MP, because I KNEW the SP would live up to the previous games and go beyond...
I've been a release day GOWer since the first title. Hadn't owned a game console since I gave away my PS1, saw an ad for GOW, bought the PS2 in anticipation and got GOW on release day. I remember that my first impression was just how amazingly beautiful the game was. Being a HUGE Greek mythology fan since I was about ten years old, I was also taken by how well they integrated the mythology into the game, very knowledgebly.
GOW2...I couldn't believe that it was actually prettier and evolved the gameplay possibilities established in GOW.
GOW3? Fuggedaboudit. RIDICULOUS! Absolutely GORGEOUS and just jammed it up to the next level.
GOWA? After seeing this video (and I had mixed feelings, but I just had to watch it!) I trust that SSM is taking the franchise beyond my wildest expectations.
I was beyond angry when I heard rumors of a fourth GOW (outside of the tweeners of CoO and GoS), because the trilogy ended so perfectly. But I was stoked beyond belief when I found out that they had used the escape route of doing a prequel. I cannot wait and wish I had the luxury of taking a month off to just bask in the glory of both the SP and the MP when release happens.
