I love how someone can block your grapple by not blocking at all, and somehow they grapple you instead. I really don't have faith that this will be fixed either. R1 is used for way too many functions and it probably confuses the system.
I agree that grappling currently has a tonne of bugs associated with it, but I think the mechanic is something to be impressed with. It has the potential to keep a fight alive, protect a team-mate or turn a fight around. The only problem is the multitude of bugs that come with it.
As for your example above, you can't grapple someone who is just standing there, but if you fail a grapple there is a quick opening to be counter grappled.
Yeah i flew the opposite direction couple of times, ppl broke out of my grapples somehow(mainly Zeus warriors), Ive been grappled by ppl who I grappled but it shows me getting my **bleep** kicked instead of them. The grappling thing is useful but has many bugs to it.
Had a nice game today, grappled an opponent in stun state in Daedalus labyrinth, flew straight through him and out of bounds and into the Pit. Things like that make me laugh, and when it happens AGAIN it just pisses me off!
Jumping is crap, not being able to grapple jumping people even more so, especially as you SHOULD be able to according to MP guide.
I agree wholeheartedly. I hope it's addressed asap in a bug-resolving patch.
