Not everything can be triggered by R1

Seriously, it feels like 50% of the time the R1 will go for a grapple when I mean to open a chest, pick up a power weapon, set a trap, grab an objective, use a cannon, grapple a latter. Why the hell would SSM make every action R1? Yea, it's a simple control scheme on paper, but so far it doesn't really work in multiplayer.

 

No GoWA I didn't want to attempt to grapple that enemy 50 feet away, I wanted to open this chest 2 inches in front of me. My bad....

If that isn't bad enough the hit detection is so flawed and the misdirection is unbelievable. It wasn't even like this in the beta, yet if I try to grapple something directly in front of me the grapple will actually curve and hit nothing at all. What the eff is up with that?

R1 actually works fine for me, you have to wait for the R1 to show on items.

On the Labyrinth of Daedalus in the birdcage the chamber box icon appeared but R1 didn't. I kept pressing R1 to try to get it to work but nothing happened. Other people had no problem with it.

Yes, they should make the chest / trap area of R1 detecting even further

I've never had this issue in my life. -_-

 

The only R1 problem i have is executing a brutal kill while standing on a point to capture.
