Why not make it an arena just like in Spartacus movies? And the final boss would be shouted by his name from the crowd, i.e. for Hercules, they'd shout "Hercules, Hercules" in Ancient Greek or in Latin Italian(Ancient Italian) languages. Like this you'd feel the story since the ancient era.

How about Kratos himself?
Or Ares since he gave him his blades

Carrioner, Kratos already gives his weapons from the Arena of Hercules sometimes.

How about if a cheering audience member falls and is holding onto the ledge. A halo appears and when you grapple him you spin him around and slam his body into the center for an AOE attack.
