Spear Balances

this is a thread for fixing spears balancing with specific focus on Hyperions spear but all spears are welcome here

 

id like to start with fixing the hyperion spears special attacks they currently can not be used while enemy is in any bounce state other than Air Triangle which is near impossible to hit if used with any other bounce state the enemy will go into invicability frames

 

also id like quicker start up times for the special attacks as the L1Square can be dodeged even after a Jump O stun and the time in between initiating the L1T and being able to execute an attack is much to long i can be interupted by the same person i just hit

achillies spear deff needs some kind of help the damage on the coop specials is miserable at best even on an ares charcter and the fact that if you do not catch them on in the absolute middle of the attack they get thrown out in i frames that is also rediculus

For the general moveset for the spear I suggest only three things.

1. Allow air T to extend air combos like it used to before patch 1.06- by taking this away, our damage output has been destroyed and made a lot of spears unusable ( Hyperion spear and phobos spear are primary examples) Simply return it to how it was to where it allows us to get the ground bounce on airborne combos during launcher combos.
2. Slightly decrease the startup speed on our standard quick attack- Our primary advantage is suppose to be our speed and range, however there are many instances where a sword or hammer user and I have swung with our quick attacks at the same time and I ended up being beaten out clean by them. I suggest that you reduce the startup on the quick attack by 3-6 frames to help spear users in this cqc situations.
3. Increase range on the air T and delay S- These two moves lead to our biggest combos without a parry. In their current state, they are almost impossible to hit people with it more specifically delay S. I strongly recommend that you increase the range on both of these moves to strengthen the spear's mixup options.
