The Gauntlet - New 2v2 4v4 game mode concept
The gauntlet is a two team race to the finish. Each team will be faced with several chambers where they will have to defeat a wave of enemies that spawn. Once an enemy wave is cleared the team can open the door(R1 - tap O to to open) to the next chamber. Each chamber contains some kind of interactive weapon that will fire into the opposing team's chamber. These weapons can be used to inflict damage on the opposing team or be used to interrupt opening the door to the next chamber.....but these weapons can only be used once so use them wisely. After the final chamber is cleared, teams will enter a small arena where they will have to complete the final objective. Depending on how fast a team can clear all the chambers before the opposing team does, they may find that completing the final objective is rather easy when it's un-contested. But, once the other team clears their chambers, they too will enter the arena where it becomes an all-out deathmatch. Once both teams are in the final arena, there are no re-spawns. The last man standing will be able to complete the objective and earn the win for his team.
Just an idea I came up with this morning and I think it would be really fun and fit the GoW multiplayer style.

They can incorporate this into the already existing stages, with alters and the magic walls as the ways to get to the next area, an they all end in stage "boss" area. Like Polyphemus, or Theno.
sounds neat, include it in their MP survey. However, from playing with babies online, if the other team sees that they are losing by 3 rooms for example, they will probably just quit. I saw alot of this mentality when playing syphon filter dark mirror on the PSP
