I realize that Papy already said there would be no female warriors, but I wanna complain anyways. Okay, not really complain, but lament perhaps.... ![]()
I'm somewhat of a rarity in the gaming world. First of all, I'm female. Second, on average I can kick the proverbial buttocks of any man I go up against. Third, I brag about my gaming skills as any man would. Finally Fourth, I prefer to play violent high-action games and horror (with the exception of Okami. That game captured my heart for some reason.) I ain't your wishy-washy namby-pampy LittleBig Planet type of gal. You may see some Lego games in my trophies, but those are what I call my wind-down games. The Toy Story 3 is something my 5-year-old plays.
Getting to point in this waffle: I was really hoping to see some lady warriors in the multiplayer. As soon as I began to hear rumors that there was going to be multiplayer for God of War: Ascension, I began to hope. I tried not to get them too high, as God of War has a history of being geared towards men....I probably had just as much fun as the next guy with the sex minigames.....but I have to admit that I had always been hankering to run around as a woman Spartan, laying waste to those brutish thugs of men.....then pointing and laughing while chanting, "You just got your @$$ kicked by a girl!" (Of course, secretly I'd be pretending I was that strong and viral woman running around in that Armor of Ares.)
Anyways, just lamenting the fact that I didn't get to create myself an amazing woman warrior and watch her in action for her own battles to gain Favor of the Gods. I realize it won't change....I just like to have my word. ![]()
Any other woman warriors lurking about here?

There are a few I ran into online. I do, however, support the idea of female warriors. I just want to see variety, not a bunch of bald dudes running around. I know, I know, there's armor. But still, the addition would be nice. There have been numerous threads about "female warriors" and I support each one. We can hope for them sometime in the future!

Hello there. Here are a few threads that have lots of support for the female character and more customization in general if you are interested in reading those. Most of these went "hot topic" so had quite a few comments and a few have also indicated they are female as well. This is the first MP of the series and we can just hope that with time we'll get what many have asked for. Many have had the idea for DLC for one but you can read the pros and cons on these threads.

Historically speaking women were in no way allowed to fight in those days. I understand this is "just a game", but by allowing female warriors SSM would actually be going against law at the time. If you check your books, you'll actually find women were often used as rewards and even currency at some points.
That being said, it would be cool to see some female DLC... Transparent armor anyone???

100% incorrect.... They had them ( sources below). A whole tribe/nation of female warriors that were quite good. Artemis was a Goddess that was know for fighting. We are talking about the whole of Greek Mythology not only the major cities. And no these aren't just goddesses. I wish people would stop saying they didn't have them. It is common knowlege that they did.

From what I read those came later, kinda like at one point women couldn't vote here, but now they can. I'm all for Amazonian female types rockin the arena, but at this specific time frame, it didn't seem accurate from what history portrays. Funny thing is, mythology isn't real lol, so yeah, they could potentially do anything and say that's how it was, like the immortals in 300.
You brought up Mythology, I'm talking accurate Spartan and Trojan armies, there were no women in real-life armies at that time.
