22 replies 28 views Edited Sep 5, 2010

when you finish the gow gos demo you unlock the combat arena.there you can choose for the enemies not to attack and to have infinite lives.with the L+O move it would be easy to pull a 999999 combo,if you have the patience of course.is anybody interested in doing it?come on we might find a new secret before gow:ghost of sparta even comes out.who knows it might even find the release date of god of war 4

I'm not going to save you boys the trouble like with GoWII.

I got a 1000 hit combo but it didn't say anything but it did every hundred hits on 900 it said impossible plus 300 orbs and on 546 it said you have earned enough orbs to upgrade the blades of Athena maybe they're saving the 1000 hit combo phrase for the full game by the time I was done I bad exactly five thousand orbs and that must mean 2500 is to upgrade the blades of Athena to level 2 so that means i've discovered something cool

althogh i did alternate between / and O attacks

I never got around to getting 100K+ for GoW1 (50K) or CoO (10K).  Just getting that far would be good enough to test for high end descriptors.

I honestly think 999,999 would be a waste of time in the demo.  There's no way it would be included.  The demo is only 93MB, and I imagine every bit of that is used for gameplay and graphics.  I seriously doubt anything substantial as far as extras go are included with the demo.  The full game will likely be 1.5-1.8GB.

Just to give you a heads up, only Mortal and Hero difficulties are available in the demo.  There is no Spartan or God mode in the demo, even after finishing it.  Same goes for the Arena mode that is unlocked after finishing the demo.

Also, you have to play through the demo to return to the Arena each session after you had turned off the game.

BBS: (999,999) You need only go to 100K for the testing procedure.  I don't have any plans of doing it this time.  My interest in the arena is damage values and the like.  Testing.  The foes and settings involved aren't worth of challenges, practice, etc.  Maybe some messing about with combos, but that was never really my bag.

(Arena) I'm not concerned about having to re-earn it in the demo if I shut off the game.  I am interested in seeing how it differs from the Arena as seen in GoWII and GoWIII.

(Difficulty) I'm just surprised we got any choice at all.  Normal and Easy aren't hard to guess percentiels for.  The former is 100% and the latter is 200%.  That's series tradition.  Hard and Very Hard are what have varied between titles.

: (Walls) The best you'll ever have the pleasure of reading.  And there is so much more where that came from.  Believe it.

Such a thing as a 999,999 hit combo wouldn't warrant a wall.  You just go to 100K.  If there is a descriptor.  You keep going and note if they have changed at all then list the final result.  If there isn't a descriptor, you simply stop and note there was nothing.

Do it you bum.  You've got to have some value to these boards eventually.  If it isn't through specialty runs, aiding players, etc., it may as well be through a supremely tedious task.

(Lose another console) How did you manage to break your property?
