Hey, thanks for the tune.  That is very different in a lot of ways from what I was using, so I'm planning on doing some recon again soon with your specs to see just what difference it would have made.  if it helps keep me from having to fight the car, then it would certainly have produced a better position in some races.  Like I said above, I didn't spin much at all, but not spinning was still very difficult to achieve and caused me to have to let off a lot and I could see people catching up as I did so.

@exX, I watched you drive for a couple laps and I saw a couple spots where you could easily make up time. I'm not sure if you changed your driving in the second go round at Spa but in the first race, you were dropping into 1st gear when it was unneccessary. Turn 1, you can stay in 2nd gear and use the torque to get out of the turn. You would be in first and almost as soon as you hit the gas you would put it in second, there's about a second to make up there since you will be able to maintain a higher speed through the turn and you will get a much better run to eau rouge. The final chicane you did the same thing. I know the flashing red gear indicator says 1 but ignore that thing and stay in second. Might get another .5 of a second there.

Again, i'm not sure if you switched up your gearing later in the race or in other races. This is just what I saw in the 2 laps I scrolled through.

My best lap was on lap 5 of the second race. I ran a 2:36.6xx. I felt really good about that lap especially since Hey's best time before he was disco'd was not much quicker. I also believe a 2:34 is out there. I just don't quite have the skill for that kinda time though.

you're definitely right about not shifting to 1st.  I think later on I made 1st much longer and it actually served more of a purpose than in that first race... not sure if I used it much.

on the last chicane I mostly used 1st to make sure the car pivoted so I could gas earlier... maybe it wasn't as fast though, but I felt I was pulling away from cars out of the final chicane just about every time... though I wasn't being chased by you so who knows what I would have seen?

I want to keep playing with this car though, because it is so tough it just offers a great challenge and teaches a lot about physics and what can go wrong.

and just look at how much conversation it has sparked!  = AWESOME

This is definitely the hardest car to drive that I have tried so far.But if you can learn to drive this car,all others should be a piece of cake.

Anyone got the replays saved from Monday night?  I just did a complete wipe of my PS3 to troubleshoot some problems, but forgot to save the replay files onto the USB thumbdrive.

I was short-shifting a bit more than you and you were easily pulling away from me, so I may have pushed that limit a bit and paid the price.

I am also quite happy to see the amount of effort and discussion that this car has provoked, too.

I have the two at Spa. Didn't get the one at Suzuka.

What would be the best way to get them to you?

Thanks dm and tguns.

If you can zip and upload the file to any file sharing service and send me the link to download, e.g. Mediafire, Dropbox, it will be much appreciated.  Thanks!
