was it the german DTM type? it disallows the M3 GTR Racecar, if that's the one you were trying.

I'm running out of time and plans are not going as I had hoped.

It seems we just can't just pick a car from our garage and have everyone use it, so I looked at Shuffle races again, but this week has a higher PP range than the range allowed in Shuffles, so it looks as if it will be a car from the Recommended garage after all.

The range of cars for next week may be even more difficult to figure out.

Actually, you can specify a car or set of cars if you want. You just have to police it yourself. I know you do not want to kick anyone, but if the car is anounced, everyone else is in that car, and they are given the chance to change to that car but refuse, well their complaints aren't going to go very far...

Hopefully the Race Restrictions setup in GT6 will be a little more useful... Or -hope against hope- the hypothethical 3.0 release coming very soon will have this...

The trouble with that is the cars in this power range can be expensive or difficult to get, so if members just "drop by", they may not be able to acquire the car.

I've settled on how to do this one now, so the details just need to be posted as soon as possible.

As this is just For Fun, you could just set a PP limit and disallow whatever cars you know/think to be "ringers" (or just do not want in the race) and it'll be fine.

Until PD gives us a way to set things the way we want, it's the best we can do.

What I mean is:
Disallow or limit engine power limiter use.
Allow/disallow specific parts. (You know, stuff real race spec designers can specify...)
allow us to set camber and toe on cars without adding parts, to perhaps be able to set real-world "stock" settings instead of that .20 for example...

etc...

Weekly Details

Tonight's racing will use one of the more powerful Recommended cars on the F1 track at Nurburgring. With no tuning, it should be simple, right? With all of this power, watch out for the sand traps.

Monday: September 17

Time: 8 PM - 9 PM (or later, depending on interest)
Be on time!

Car: McLaren MP4-12C (Recommended car)

Track: Nurburgring GP/F - F1, long

Race conditions:

PP range: 560ish

Tires: Unlimited

Laps: 6 (a new race every 15 minutes)

Tire wear: Off

Racing will start on time, so be early.
I'll try to open the lobby between 7:30-7:45.
