Looking forward to hitting the track as soon as I get home tonight! I think I will try a variety of cars on this one.

Had a bunch of fun with this one! Started out with the Mustang Mach 1 all body stages, window weight, and aero; then did the engine, trans and oil change.

Slidy fun and games! Just enough oversteer to be enjoyable, yet still in control. The only race I had a long lead was Daytona - the 'Stang is a torque monster and will aggressively overtake on the banking.

The Eifel Circuit; I switched to the Ford Mark V Race Car - and I've forgotten how I set it up (not by the PS right now). Was a very good race with a close finish. I had a gap of only 6 seconds (only - lol) and didn't catch the 3 lead Mira's until well into the last lap. Trick with this car was to trail brake like mad - keeps everthing nice and stable; and you can carry much more speed into the corners.

Could likely find something with a lower PP to kick up the payouts; but it was fun enough as it was.

Think Laguna Seca was my favorite - sliding through the curves, and a 3 second lead at the end. The Corkscrew was a blast in the Mustang!

The '71 Mach...never thought about using that car yet. I've only done 2 races so far, one with the Muira and the other with the Ferrari 512. Going to try the Jenson too, love that **bleep** car!

I took the easy route first time around and used the Muira. Won all 5 races against 3 other Muira's, but I have to say, Eiffel was super tough at the 510PP level. I created a good tune, and am happy to share it.

1967 Lamborghini Muira 510pp in Chrome paint with BBS wheels

Stage 3 weight reduction

Stage 3 engine

All driveline, chassis and transmission upgrades.

Ride Height F: 0 R: 0

Springs F: 6.7 R: 7.3

Extension F:7 R:7

Compression F:5 R: 6

Roll bars F:1 R: 5

Camber F: 1.8 R: 1.8

Toe F: -.09 R: -.04

LSD: 10/25/5

Brakes F: 6 R: 5

Ballast 200kg @ -23 F: 49% R: 51%

Engine 68.3% 348hp 338 torque

Transmission Top speed 124 (216mph)

1st: 3.022

2nd: 2.120

3rd: 1.611

4th: 1.244

5th 1.013

For higher PP add HP first, then reduce weight.

Re: Seaaonal Event Supercar Nostalgia Cup

After running these events in various cars, I went back and did Lacuna Seca with a 473PP Jaguar Type E, with stock suspension, gears and all, except for the tuned engine, in cockpit view with my TV set to a sepia colour, all aids and ABS off. I only finished 6th, but it felt like I was in control of a real life video, despite SRF being on, it was a fantastic sensation. At this PP, I had the exact same straight line speed and acceleration as the Corvettes and 512Bs, with some nice and loose handling that was controllable.

I had to be slightly cautious on the brakes and accelerator, but the car allowed you to push it a little, making for a fantastic replay and exciting drive. I highly recommend trying something similar, not for the win, but for the experience.

Ok folks I finaly beat this on before the the net went down at home. An here's some photos and text on how I did it.

Ok on the 3rd lap after getting ramed by the lambos LPs which was a battle in it self., I finaly pass them.

 photo GT5-Imagesx1500.jpg

Now on my 2nd to last lap I had to take out one of the Miuras and man did that baby try to hold itself on the road. "Drift baby drift"!
