It may not be done as a stand alone game, but it could be done as DLC or as a game in Playstation Home. The Okinawa Golf Resort could easily form the basis for a mini-golf course. Send the ball through the Okinawan houses, avoid trap doors, negotiate opening and closing shoji doors, etc.

The Euro Classic course could also be made into a mini-golf course. This course would take players inside the castles.

There could even be some new concepts, such as a Pirate themed course. Or courses based on other Sony games, such as a Ratchet and Clank themed course.

They do have a Hot Shots Mini Golf game on the Japanese store (had bought it a few weeks back). You have the choice of Toro or Jasmine to play as. Just has the single course, however. It's not bad but definitely needs some flushing out regarding features.

Would love to see a new miniature golf feature in HSG (haven't had one since the original HSG for PS1, and weak attempt in HSG Fore)!  And as for the pirate theme, the Blue Lagoon C.C. from HSG Fore would do nicely!

I too, would love a mini golf course.  I might actually be able to get the girlfriend to play me for once.  Just don't do it like the last one with those huge funnel holes.  Straight up mini golf.
