wrong, there are 15 to 16 enemy types, since there´s also a trophy for killing them with the melee i think. the game has the best graphics out there, as mentioned, great physics, and, sorry but, despite almost everyone elses opionion, i dont dislike that much the controls... it´s just a mather of getting used to them, off course bf and cod are easier, but i was used to play rainbow six, wich is most likely kz2... if you think something, it is not very likely that a guy holding up 30 kilos of gear would run as free as a bird and manuever even easier...
anyway, it´s a war, what do you spect, women doing shopping mid battle? how many diff characters are there in battlefield? or call of duty?!
name one game with more characters... another thing... it´s a shooter, are you going to waste time looking for dressing codes???
oh and regarding the maps.. COME FUCKING ON, it has the best mapas out there... the amount of details astonishes me even today...particles and other stuff... and i think the game has colors enough since it´s another planet, that is in ruins... i simply love the game.
ok, it could have come with co-op play, and other features, but it does the job.

lol. Have you played the games..? The single player is extremely well done. The way they integrate first person views into the story and game-flow is a small list of neat ideas that other developers wish they came up with.
The online didn't turn out very well since KZ2, and so on, though... Lan on ps2 was great. Initially on kz2.. great. Lots of useful clan roster and in-game features for casuals and hardcore that no one else had. Fantastic handling of network code, with kick and minimum connection quality matching.. which still managed to do world-wide games, so you could connect with any friends from wherever, and still not see much lag. It's a feat that no one else has been capable of doing on any platform.
..and, judging by kz3, no one will be able to do again. Single player, graphics and animation still is top notch, though.. But that's not really all there is to a game..

This series is mediocre and always has been. There is nothing new or revolutionary here from Killzone 1 to now. The Killzone series was dreamed up to be a competitior to the Halo franchise and failed even to give Halo a run for its money. Now that Halo is no longer the love child of FPS gamers Guerilla is attempting to mock the currently most succesful shooter franchise COD. This series has been a me too imitator since it was first announced.

We all know everybody is entitled to their opinion, but coming here saying the game sucks is that makes you into a troll. Why dont you keep to yourself and let the forum run freely like it should. Um, but you said you have only played Killzone 2 therefor you have no right to say that Killzone 1 or Liberation is bad when you have never played it. These so called "facts" that you speak about how Killzone 2 is bad is your opinion and nothing more. Honestly If you dont like the game (Killzone 2) many of us here are fine with that, but your trashing on the whole series off of only one Killzone game (Killzone 2) you make yourself look foolish and no one is going to take you seriously. So please, play Killzone 1 and Liberation and then you can come back with a valid opinion, otherwise dont trash the series.

I never said I never played any of the other Killzone games.. After all there are only 3 games in the whole series. I said that I own and played through Killzone 2. I also played Killzone 1 YEARS ago. Killzone 1 was much like Killzone 2 graphically.. Washed out and desaturated and lacking contrast. The gameplay was very similar as well with the typical scripted sections where you just sit there while wave after wave comes out.

KZ is pretty mediocre however thats fine, it doesn't mean it can't also be a lot of fun, it makes a nice change from all the WW2, vietnam or whatever shooters doesn't it?
being mainly a battlefield fan myself i'm still looking forward to another reincarnation of this series, having played kz2 for 9 months and buying all the DLC, i look forward to trying out KZ3 in the feb demo/beta...if i like the changes i'll buy it, if i don't i won't......quite simple really.
this forum doesn't have to be the exclusive of die hard dedicated fanboys of KZ does it? nothing wrong with a different point of view from time to time.....
