Reasons why I think Killzone 3 falls short on Multiplayer

I played Killzone 3 all the way through single player, and after playing many multiplayer shooters, I think this game had potential to be the best, most fun shooter out there.  Online though, the way they did things just made it not so fun.

Here are a few things I think they should have done better.

1. Lobbies - We need lobbies in between a game, a screen where it shows everyones screen name divided by team, and you can communicate with eachother in the lobby in between matches.  All older shooters had this, and some newer ones removed this probably to speed up gameplay, but instead its in my opinion taking away from the experience of finding friends to play with and the chat that happens in games.  Instead of a lobby we are brought to a post game stat screen, then vote, then hop right into another game.  I think not having lobbies is a HUGE downfall to any shooter game.  If you want to see how lobbies should be play Halo Reach on xbox, they perfected the lobby system.

2. Maps - These maps are boring, repetetive, and have nothign exciting in an of them.

3. Too much bot riff raff - What I mean by this, is there seems to be too much random bot sounds in the game, like bots flying around, land bots, etc.  This makes for a very repetetive atmosphere and all you hear is the sound of those bot guns going off and missiles being fired, thats it, no voice overs from characters, just the sound of bots all game.

4. OP LMG - It seems like if you have an LMG your bullets are instant kill, I have used the LMG and had it used against me, its as if using another gun is stupid because the LMG is so superior.

5. Lack of direction - What I mean by this is the game to me is just a bunch of random chaos, no real direction.  I wish it were more because I love the guns and the actual shooting part of it, but multiplayer to me feels very unfinished, and like it could be much more than it is.

Dude the LMG has been nerfed so much since the betas. If anything I hate the LMGs now. They dont do a damned thing for me.

Re: Reasons why I think Killzone 3 falls short on Multiplayer

Add to that:

-Low number of default maps: Seriously, there really werent that many on disc and only a few were actually decent, most were horribly small.

-No ability to just play a game mode you want: You can either play TDM, or you HAVE to sit though all a cycle of all of the other game modes. Some people just want to play Search and Destroy or Capture and Hold.

-Operations is gimmicky and worthless: Cool idea ruined by the lack of maps is available on and the fact there could be no Operations DLC.

-Customisation is poor: We can select a weapon and some equipment. No. People want more these days, they want attachments, streaks, perks... KZ3's customisation was just boring.

Fix this stuff for KZSF and you'll have a MP people will actually stick too.

[ Edited ]

LMAO at the replies xD lol

Nobody even mentioned the real problems.

Low number of maps? Bad design for competitive gaming yes, but low number no, they are fine for public games.

Small maps? It's not Battlefield or something, if the spawn system wasn't broken current map size would work perfectly fine.

LMG OP? -_-

Customisation is poor? Killzone is unique and requires skill, why would we want "streaks perks attachments"?  But I get it all modern games must have nooby Killstreaks (CoD). Pure gunplay, anyone? Less Weapons = Balance

The real problems are C4, Markman, Spawn System, PS Move, Bots, Recon Ability, Lack of Custom Lobbies. Have been discussed too many times
