If you don't want to discuss MAG2 topics then 1) don't click on forum topic "MAG2" & 2) don't post in said forum topic "MAG2". Please stop trying to tell people what they should discuss and what they shouldn't discuss about a particular game or series... that's on the game's web forum.
OP, I think ther's a petition on PS Blog but having discussion here on the MAG forums for a sequel is a great thing so Sony can see the activity on this topic. Yeah, MAG2 for launch PS4 @ E3 would have me break my rule of waiting a year to purchase the new generation of consoles. Sony had Resistance 20v20 as a big bang to usher in online gaming for PS3. Wouldn't be bad to show some of the PS4 online power with another big bang in MAG2 featuring 128v128v128. 
Honestly I watched the PS4 stream and I have to say it looks promising and looks like it also has a few promising launch titles as well(InFamous Second Son, Watch Dogs, KillZone Shadow Fall). Now of course there are still very little details out there but we'll see.
Concerning a MAG 2 I honestly don't know. I honestly don't want to see a sequel other than an updated version of MAG and resold on PS4. I mean there are very few company's at the moment that I trust and have the capabilities to make a game like MAG 2.
Activision would make it a fast paced no dedicated server mess. EA would make the game too realistic and take away one of MAG's key components.
Now of course there are company's like Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch,( few others ) that have made great games in the past (Uncharted series, InFamous series) but those games were really just a very fun campaign based game. So I'll go out on my own opinion and say no MAG 2 just updated version of MAG and keep adding more content to it. (New game modes, Factions, increased player count)
Now of course there is very little chance of either idea happening but felt like I would state my opinion.
