If I don't drive vehicles, what is the point of this equipment anyway?

I play sabotage mostly and I always search for the AP Mines before walking in, so is this really necassary?

Necassary? No. But neither is a medical kit or primary weapon.

Just because you dont drive vehicles and only play Sabo doesnt mean other people dont either.

Wearing a ED would let you skip searching for mines and run straight in without looking, or shoot them out depending on if there are mines or not. It would mean that you wouldnt get shot in the back standing around looking for mines.
