Re: Tips on becoming a better First Person Shooter.

An excellent read. Wish more of my teammates actually read this. Too bad I can't link them here in-game.

Re: Tips on becoming a better First Person Shooter.

I just wanna say thank you man; that was an awesome post. I just got into FPS like a couple months ago, and I straight up suck at them. Ive finally beat HALO 1, (10 years later after it came out...lol), and Ive only had COD and this for about maybe a month, so Im as "NOOB"  as they get. lol  This post really helps me out, cause its just hard to get good at this game when Im up against FPS veterens that pretty much live on this/these games. It gives me a good foundation on what I ultimately need to practice on; and not "NOOB SPRAY" like I always do. lol I appreciate your effort with this,  cause it looks like it took you a good minute to write. So thanks again bro.

Re: Tips on becoming a better First Person Shooter.

I have only been playing first person shooters for a few weeks now but this quide has helped me a lot. I hope that I can learn a bit more within the next month because on domination I only get 10 kills 3 assists and 34 deaths. I think that is really pathetic. But even so I enjoy mag.

Re: Tips on becoming a better First Person Shooter.

Fantastic Post!  I bought this game 2 Sundays ago and was getting pwned.  My only experience with FPS was playing HALO3 on a friends xbox.  Prior to readin this post, I had a KDR of 0.50 on a GOOD matchin MAG.  After reading this post, practicing, rereading, practicing, repeat over and over.  I am now having my first games with KDRs of 2.0 and climbing!

I highly recommend following the tips posted.  Concise, Clear, and effective! bump.

Re: Tips on becoming a better First Person Shooter.

No Quick-scoping?

Close - Long range

-Tapping L1 with 1-100 odds:

Sniper rifles in this game are not accurate if you don't aim down the sights. So I'm gonna teach you what you should have learned before you became a f'ed up sniper with no skills.

...

"Oh no! Raven LMGman is about to attack me!"

...

Well whip out that sniper with mid-range scope and be prepared to mount him.

Here's what you do, move your crosshair over to his body and follow his movement with your body.

"But won't he kill me?"

Nope. He's too stupid to know that you're carrying a sniper rifle.

Here's the tricky part. Tap ad hold the L1 button for a maximum of 0.5 seconds and tap R1 five times (heavy armor).

0.5 seconds is the amount of time before he's out of your scope.

"I'm using the .50 cal! Not the tier 1 SR! I'm not that godlike!"

Fine! Same thing here, except you only TAP L1 once and Tap R1, aim, repeat.

It's better that you get a hang of this before you buy a sniper rifle so you can get a feel of what it will sorta' feel like.

Did I explain it in a bad way?

Then show me how it's done!

Edit it and add whatever you want, this is how >I< understand it. (Ye olde swedish Counter-Strike way)

Remember! You win the prize!

I'm too busy being regarded as a terrible human being for the Moderators to recognise anything worthwhile I've contributed towards this game.
