Metal Gear Solid Series

Ever since the MGS HD collection came out a while back, I've been debating trying the game series out.

I jsut have 2 questions about it:

What is the game like?

What PlayStation game is most like it?

1. The games are **bleep**. Absolute **bleep**. There's a reason there's only 6 people on this board, ya know.

2. Nothing, because nothing else is this **bleep**. You're better off playing Superman 64, it'll last longer.

They are stealth games, so you can imagine what the gameplay is like. Basically just avoid being seen. You do have a choice and can just run around killing people, but that is a much harder method of playing the games, especially in the games early in the series. The games also have a lot of story and cutscenes, so if you aren't interested in story in video games then it probably isn't for you.

The Playstation game that is closest to MGS is Spy Fiction. MGS4 even stole gameplay ideas from it.

Yeah, I heard there was a game that had a cutscene that lasted an hour lol.

But is it kind of like Sly Cooper? Or different?

These games are amazing.

You have to give them a try.

I just put the first MGS on my Vita and beat it. 

Can't wait till I get the money to buy the HD collection.

It might not be something that catches your attention, but it is definitely worth a try.

Its freaking Amazing. Honestly i would reccomend getting the Original PS1 Game, for story purposes. (You can get it on PSN Store for 10 bucks.) Now honestly the closest game like it.... I really don't know. Its unique in its own way. But yeah its good. My Second favorite video game series.  Anyways since peace walker is online, if you want to do Co-Op add me.

Oooh, online story sounds pretty cool.
I know there aren't a lot of times where more players can be fun in story mode (them causing you to die) besides LBP.

I do want to try the first game along with the rst of them

Definately worth a try, If you like story games then MGS is a definate win, but the games also have a bit of a slower paced game play when compared to newer games, so if your used to really fast paced games this might not be for you

I have been looking at videos of this online and Soo want to get it Dx.... I heard they got trophies added to MGS4 now . I saw some previews of the games but never did get the chance to purchase or play it. I think I will finally get the set of these.
