With respects to the metal thread I figured this thread would be a good idea, so excuse my plagiarism.

I love rap that came out before the year 2001.

Favorite rapper: Nas, of course.
Favorite rap album: E. 1999 Eternal - BTNH

It's kind of hard to find good rap nowadays.

Well, if you want good rap, as cliche' as it sounds, you'll need to go underground. It's not unnatural for this to happen to popular music, afterall so don't feel too bad. And by underground I don't mean the ever redundant rehashing of "buzz" names like Talib Kweli, Mos def, Common(most people who only list these people don't actually even listen to them), I mean music that goes even beyond the golden era of the 90's. Trust me, it's out there. Just aside from Nas, Lupe, Eminem(if he doesnt crap all over his new album) and a few other people, mainstream rap really is an ear ache for the most part.

I love Rap and hip hop It just makes me sad that most people don't listen to stuff that influenced it. I mean sure it gets a lot of influences from different genres but I've noticed the most popular rap songs usually comes from oldies music.

Some of Tupacs and Biggys most famous songs arnt even beats made by them but by artist like Zapp and Roger and the Isley Brothers.

lol The Boondocks...

Anyways, I love Hip-hop. I listen to 3 types of rap: Consicous, Intelligent, and Christian rap. I hate it when my friends listen to dumb stuff like Soulja Boy (They don't know the uplifting part of Hip-hop music.) do anyone feel the same way?

Also, did y'all hear that Kanye West's mom died? R.I.P Mrs. West
