Re: The Rap thread

When hip-hop is about Jewelry, Cars, Women.. You're only seeing that single side of it. These guys are talking about the enviroment they came from, where money, and Jewelry were everything. Growing up you're taught you need to be the flyest gear you can, or you'll be looked down apon.. Now I agee these are the same kind of people who need to show todays youth a differant approach to the way they live life.. But you know what? Sometimes people don't want, OR need a voice of reason, they need to know other people are in that same struggle.

Re: The Rap thread

I'm currently trying to branch out to more than just mainstream artist. I seem to have made a good choice by listening to Pharoahe Monch, that Desire is straight fire! My top songs on that album are

Agent Orange
Hold On
Let's Go
When the Gun Draws
Free

Personally I think the whole album is good, one of the best that were released this. There some mainstream artist out there, that are good though. I'm tired of Lil Wayne being on every song on the radio and hearing people rapping his rhymes at school, that **bleep** gets annoying. The Drought Is Over 4 in my oppinion sucked, the Drought 3 **bleep**s on that new tape he released.

I'm copping that Lupe when it comes out.

I just listened to it. It's a pretty good song, the hook is catchy too.

Lupe in the Superstar vid reminded me of Kanye.

Just did. It's alright.(I like Good Life and Flashing Lights better) But you can hear Jeezy laughin' in parts of the song so why wasn't he in the original?

Re: The Rap thread

Wu-Tang Clan fans rejoice. December is going to be a good month. Ghostface's Big Doe Rehab album expected to drop on December 4. Thoughts?

Tell your grandma

A bit late, but: HELL YES.
