Kudos haven't meant anything since their introduction. They are no longer and have never been indicative of actual well written and thought out posts that actually contribute to the forums.

I know a spell that will make you show your true form; cave rat taught it to me.

I too have a dream - one where Sony would utilise the resources it has to improve their profit margins and start giving the userbase a "must have" console.

Singstar was a nice touch on the XMB and a tidy money spinner but a virtual vita console on the XMB would open a wider market and expand profits by linking the PS3 to a pre-existing resource that is not reaching it's fullest market potential.

What is the point of pimping low rez "minis" and then refuse yourself additional revenue by denial of your own, quality back library of titles that collect dust when they can be working for you ?

Maybe this is why the bulk of the retro titles from the PS1 and PS2 era are the crappy budget games that nobody wanted to buy when they came out on their first release let alone their virtual re-release.

This only serves to make the profit margins of re-releases seem lower than what they could be by comparison compared to the higher quality game titles.

Sony needs to feel the pulse soon and GAIKAI won't save them.

I thought the Kudos System was fine when it was reserved for people 128-bit and above. That 'privilege' being opened up later on like custom avatars seemed to keep it's use in check and actually did kind of point you to some good discussions with some well written posts. I used to use the Kudos column to track down some conversations and reading a few good posts in any given thread that were Kudosed made me participate in said thread/discussion.

For me, it's only when they opened the system to everyone that it went to hell as it got hard to gauge where to go using the aforementioned method cause people were kudosing some stupid stuff or their friend or what have you. Certain boards handed them out like candy (HOME Forum) even.

System needs to be reworked for any 'relevancy' at this point. I'm actually glad that they killed the Kudos leaderboard.
