When you have certain people who say that studying English is "a waste of time", is this really news to anyone?

Very true, but should language devolve? Many would agree that our language has devolved rather than evolved.

Can't say for sure if grammar skills are really declining. I don't even use LOL when texting because honestly, I don't see the point in it, only when using chat rooms do I use LOL, ROFL and the rest of the techspeak stuff.

I know of a 23 year old who has terrible grammar.... not surprising when he has 'bangs' covering his eyes.

It's amazing the amount of arrogant pride that some people show in the rhythmic sound waves that come from their vibrating vocal cords and the patterns of scribbles used to invoke particular thoughts in the cerebral cortex of the recipient.

Did anyone ever notice how a lot of "ghetto people" clap after each syllable for emphasis to compensate for their limited vocabularies?
