It's stupid for two reasons. If you're going to donate, just do it. Second, we have a severe drought here in Cali.

@HuntressInSoCal The drought in california is not going to be a affected by a few buckets of water. Your shower probably used exponentially more water.

Also, this is a fun way to get people interested in a cause and bring attention to it. The celebrities are bringing millions into the organization when a PSA would go in and out your ears.

Re: Ice Bucket Challenge

I didn't do the bucket (even though I was challenged) but I still donated anyway (not $100. I understand the point in raising awareness, but the point shouldn't be whether or not you dumped a bucket of water over your head, it should be about donating first and foremost. You shouldn't have to dump a bucket on your head and make a video just to say you donated.

Plus there is no official rules from the ALS foundation or site saying you have to donate $100 dollars if you don't or $10 dollars if you do. Its not on their site (I looked) and many are reporting the ALS didn't provide those rules. So in the end, it doesn't matter how much you donate. If if can't afford much, donate a little, if you can donate alot, then donate alot. To me its about the thought and caring attitude of donating in itself...
