How about Scott Brooks for NBA Coach of the Year?!!? He has turned a 23-59 record into 33-23(TO DATE) and almost dead last defensively into TOP5. If that doesn't earn you COY consideration, I dont know what does.

He should be in the discussion. I mean, Durant should be discussed more as an MVP candidate this year, so it's only logical Brooks would be in the COY discussion.

I know who isn't Coach of the Year though: Jim O'Brien. Eff this guy.

Im just excited for the draft. Looks like the Pistons are tanking the rest of the season. I hope they land a top 3 pick and can get Evan Turner. I don't care if they need big men, he is easily the most talented player in this years draft class (tied with Wall).

Best Available > Most Needed. Hopefully Joe learned this when he drafted Dark over Melo.

should be a good day for NBA games.

i plan to watch miami/orlando and dallas/new orleans on ESPN tonight

don't really care who wins between denver and LA, i'd really like dallas to catch denver in the standings but i can't bring myself to cheer for the lakers either. so i guess whatever happens happens

Watched the Doubleheader on ABC. I only saw the last six minutes of the Suns-Spurs game and was shocked that Jason Richardson, former 2 time NBA Slam Dunk Champion missed a break away dunk that would of tied the game. Spurs end up winning the game. Second half of the doubleheader was entertaining to watch. Kobe had a horrible shooting afternoon, 3-17, thats like 18% from the field. But man Artest played some really good D on Carmelo, finishing with 6 steals.

draft????? bring on the playoff intensity!!!  teams that are out are beginning to go on vaca already.  a lot of these games are going to be pointless highlight fests.  hopefully everyone comes out healthy!

i really like the mavs chances this year.  with that trade they got tougher and more scoring plus bonus inside scoring with haywood.  they have bodies to throw at kobe and could have enough, especially when damp comes back, to tangle with anyone in the paint.  kidd has the smarts but does he have championship smarts?

i keep itching more and more for the playoffs.
