LOL :smileyhappy:

what a joke..

sure... there are things that i don't agree with the government about.. but this is extreme

if they want to revolt.. why not start with the 1% of the 1% ?  Koch brothers?

going around and shoot innocent people.. no need to pay taxes, take someone else's property as their own..?    more like a terrorist than a citizen..

There's quite an extensive history of these "sovereign citizens" engaing in radical behavior. Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols also believed in the concept of sovereign citizenship. If you don't recognize those names, they were the ones who carried out the Oklahhoma City bombing back in 1995. These guys often turn violent.

It started wtih a guy name William Potter Gale, and it stems from a movement called Posse Comitatus, which decreed that the county sherrif is the ultimate authority. Which was a states way of telling Northern troops after the Civil War to get out.

there's one thing i don't get...

if they are not happy with the govenment.. why not move? to a different country.. or find an island somewhere and start their own country.. let see how long it will last..  don't pay taxes.. don't have to pay back debts owned, can take someone else property illegally.?

yup.. more like criminal or terrorists behaviors.. rather a citizen..

i guess these idiots failed to understand how the government works.. since going around and killing police officers or people who worked for the government ... it's an act of terrorist  involving innocent people..

A lot of the bitterness stems from when the Union reintergrated the South after the Civil War. Many of these types say they want to uphold the Constitution, but it seems none of them have actually READ IT. If they had, they would find some very disturbing things in it, like the Sixth Amendment that gives the right to the U.S. government to levy taxes and collect them by force, if necessary.

Just about anywhere they go eventually someone will catch up to them. Find an island somewhere, well some nation will have staked a claim to it.

These sovereign citizens are doomed to failure; the tax collector, prosecutor, and judge have all heard these same legal theories dozens of times already and understand that they are bogus.

A free society must always be vigilant in watching its guardians.
