Your most UNDERRATED film/movie?

111 replies 302 views Edited Mar 20, 2014

This can be any movie that you think is regarded as underrated (cartoon, horror, drama etc.) Sorry if this was posted already..... but I couldn't find a similar thread. But anyway, my most underrated film of all time is The Iron Giant 1998. The reviews and scores that critics gave it were pretty high..... but the fact that it was advertised so poorly, not a lot of people saw this movie (or even knew about it). But I saw this movie when it first came and it just perfectly mixes action, drama, terror, and comedy so well. I could even go as far as to say that this is in my top 5 movies of all time. Here is a concept art of it:

Super Mario Bros. the movie (no kidding), it was far from perfect... but I've seen far worse. And the giant Goomba like characters had me laughing at times.

I have to highly agree with you on Iron Giant. What a great film that was. I was so happy that they put the movie on Netflix back when I had an account.

Nice choice OP, The Iron Giant is a great movie. Brad Bird is an amazing writer.

My pick, a Disney flick as well, The Emperor's New Groove. I really enjoyed this movie and thought it had everything as well but didn't get as much attention as some of the other Disney cartoon features. One of favs from the Mouse for sure.

Disney's Treasure Planet and Disney's Atlantis. (if we are still sticking with Disney here)

Both are two very great movies that Disney has not even acknowledged.

I would say the 1994 classic film Fresh is underrated and one of the most obscure films overlooked by the general public.
