grease monkeys and gear heads welcome here!!

13 replies 134 views Edited Apr 6, 2014

Thought i'd start a thread thats all about automotive, and people who are into it. I'm a big gear head myself, always liked automotive, since i can remember.

Resist obsolesence. Technology will always serve a purpose even if they are older, and slower. As long as that piece of technology still serves its purpose, why upgrade?

i used to have a 1996 pontiac Sunfure SE coupe, and I was gonna drop in a GM 3800 3.8L V6 attached to a 6 speed manual transmission from a pontiac G6, but i never accumulated enough money to do it.

My current, and long term, project is my 2004 Subaru WRX STi.     Its sort of fast....400ft/lbs and 375hp @ the wheels!

Nothing better than having a little 4 banger that smokes high end sports cars Smiley Tongue

This was prior to my last few mods but you can see the speed climbs nice (turn down the volume, i had my window down.....)

My dream car would be good competition for yours. I would like to get a 1990-1996 Nissan 300ZX twin turbo with a 300HP V6 engine, and 5 speed.

I've seen a video on youtube where someone twin supercharged the 850csi V12 engine. It sounded like a formula race car. Originally BMW was designing a BMW M8 with the 8 series V12 to rival that of Ferrari, and italian sports cars.
