Does the psp have an equalizer for music playback. I use noise canceling headphones that don't play base very loudly so i need a base boost option.

If you press the music button on the front of the PSP (on the right... next to the screen brightness button.) it will take you to different sound options.

i see. The heavy option helps greatly but the base is still a little weaker than it is when i play music from my computer. Is there anyway to customize a sound setting?

Try using the unique option because it have more bass, treble, & mid-range.

im just wondering what the heavy,pops,jazz and uniqe setting does i mean i think the uniqe adds a bit of bass can some1 explain a bit please and thank you

They are just pre-set EQ tweaks. There is no option to manually set your own EQ, which kinda sucks. I really don't like any of the presets, so I just leave it flat.
